Welcome
to my HTML version of my Debug Menu Guide. This was specifically made for Detstar.
**NOTE**Most images are from DetErest, I thank him.
Introduction
For those of you who don't know, the debug menu (also known as the Master Control
Debug Menu) is what the programmers and developers used to test the game and
it's many, many functions. Luckily, they left it on the disc, but didn't leave
in certain things like Akanea (the Fire Emblem level). There are so many features
to this that it takes a while to learn everything (even I haven't accomplished
that yet). Sadly, the only way to access this is to use an Action Replay
game enhancer.
An Action Replay device costs between $30.00 (U.S.) and $60.00
(Canadian), and is sold in many stores that sell video games. Now, you are probably
wondering HOW to access the debug menu. It is quite simple. You just need to
enter the code for your version -Link in "Bubble-Mode"- (which you
will find in the appendix).
Before entering the codes for the debug menu, I recomend that you remove
the memory card from slot A... If your not experienced with this, you
could wipe out your WHOLE memory card. This happened to me when I used it, and
for that reason, I actually tried to learn about it which led to me knowing
a lot about the debug menu. And that's why I'm making this guide (and for a
special page on Detstar).
Ok, now back to accessing, just choose any mode and (like Melee, Single Player
etc.) eventually you will come to a menu that is completely new to you. It is
small, with white text. There are many things to choose from, and those many
things happen to lead to many more things.

How to Determine Your Version
Courtesy of http://ssbm.detstar.com.
If you have an
Action Replay, Super Smash Bros. Melee already exists in your list of preset
game codes... However, those SSBM codes will only work with SSBM version 1.0.
So, how do you figure out what version you have, to decide which codes to use?
Take your Melee disk, and turn it over to the shiny side. Hold it directly in
the light, and search for tiny text on the dark ring. You'll have to experiment
by holding your disk at different angles in the light, until the text is visible.
Eventually, you
should be able to find text that says "DOL-GALE-0-xx".
The "xx" will actually be a number, which tells you which version
you have. The -Det Erest messing around with textures - version numbers are
