Dr. Mario: NES

Dr. Mario is missing - At least he has been, for the last twelve years. Better known as a plumber, Mario somehow obtained a license to practice medicine, and appeared in Dr. Mario during 1990. In this game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Mario passed out the pills to kill countless viruses. More than a decade later, Nintendo has brought him back as a hidden character in Super Smash Bros Melee.

Dr. Mario sure has come a long way since the last time we saw him. Despite being much older now, he still looks as young as the day he we first met him...

He's received just a slight graphical makeover since his days on the NES. So much for being a 2-dimensional character.

This was a game of quick thinking strategy, similar to Tetris. Line up a colored matching a row of four pill capsules or viruses and the row disappears.

I don't know about you, but I don't think I'd trust a doctor who spends half of his time using his hands to unclog drains and toilets...
