Multi-Man Melee

The Multi-Man Melee always takes place in the Battlefield arena, against the faceless wire frame characters. You only have one life to give for your country, so most of the challenges here are a true test of endurance.

You can earn special things by completing some of the Multi-Man Melee challenges:

100 Man Melee:   Complete to unlock the hidden character Falco
15 Minute Melee:   Complete to unlock the Past Kongo Jungle arena
Cruel Melee:   Score 5 KOs to earn the Mr. Resetti Trophy

100 Man Melee: One hundred kills doesn't seem that hard, but the weak punches you receive along the way might weaken you towards the end. The final foe you fight is considerably harder than the 99 previous opponents, so don't underestimate him.

15 Minute Melee: The enemies in this fight aren't that difficult, but the never ending supply of opponents are sure to wear you down over the course of the battle. An easy way to complete this challenge is to choose Donkey Kong, and constantly use his Hand Slap (down + B). With DK performing his Hand Slap under one of the platforms, he'll be hard for the computer opponents to reach. While using this tactic, if you get hit, run to the opposite side, and perform repeated Hand Slaps again.

Cruel Melee: This battle features computer opponents set at the highest difficulty. If that's not enough, they're all over you, giving you very little room to breathe. KOing five of these foes is an accomplishment in itself.
A sweet strategy for this challenge is to use Roy, if you've unlocked him. Roy's Blazer (B + up) is quite effective against these foes, so line them up, and take out multiple opponents with a single move. When the wire frame characters get into a clustered position above you, perform the Blazer to score double and triple KOs.
It's best to attack when your opponents are bunched together on one of the overhead platforms. Attack them with the Blazer, and then drop down to the ground, and quickly position yourself for another attack.

100 Man Melee: These foes aren't that tough, but be careful not to take much damage. If you're too beat up when the 100th enemy comes your way, it might be the end of you.

15 Minute Melee: The 15 Minute Melee may seem like a prison sentence. Fortunately, Donkey Kong's Hand Slap makes this challenge easier. Get under a platform, and constantly perform his Hand Slap (down + B). Once you've started, you just need to keep pressing B. If you get hit, just dash over to the opposite platform, and continue your slapping.

Cruel Melee: The foes will be all over you in the Cruel Melee. By using Roy's Blazer move (Up + B), you can take advantage of the clustered drones. Just attack them from beneath, and send them flying.
