What would a Detstar website be without a page dedicated to all the cool details and tidbits found in a game? In addition to the actual gameplay, many games have all kinds of miscellaneous items that often go unnoticed. Below are all the interesting things that have been found so far in Super Smash Bros Melee.

If you've found something in the game that should be posted here, feel free to send it in. E-mail your discoveries to DetErest@detstar.com. Be sure to include your name if you would like to receive credit for your submission.

System Sign...
Before Nintendo came up with the name "GameCube", the system in development was called "Project Dolphin". At the end of the one player game when you get to shoot the credits for points, one of the signs reads "sysdolphin". A very tiny hidden detail for sure.

Wicked Wolf...
During the game's intro, we see many of the star characters inside action scenes of their own worlds. Shortly after we see Fox McCloud, there's a brief glimpse of Wolf O'Donnel, Fox's rival from the StarWolf squadron.

Road Rage...
Several players have e-mailed me about the fact that you can destroy the F-Zero racing machines as they zip by on Mute City. Of course, this is easier said than done because the cars tend to smash into you and send you flying... But if you toss a Bob-omb into oncoming traffic, it's much easier to watch a racecraft explode before your eyes.

Run Away Van...
The black van that speeds through Onett can be quite a hazard. Although it zooms by too quickly to read, if you pause the game and zoom in, you can see the "Runaway" painted on the side.

Two-Wheeler...
Another vehicle that zooms by on the Onett stage, is a pink car. It looks normal from the front, complete with a shadow underneath... But pausing the game and angling the camera reveals that this car is driving on two wheels. This stunt is kinda fun, but is it against the law?..

Taxi!
Yet another car from Onett, this time it's a Taxi. The license plate has "Onett" on it, but I can't read the second piece of text on the plate... Does anyone out there know what the tiny text says?

Emergency Visit...
Visible in the background of Ness' homeworld of Onett, is a building that appears to be a hospital. Presumably, this is where combatants go after the match for treatment of the bruises and injuries that they've suffered.

Children at Play...
Still in Onett is a detail in the foreground, if you pause the game and zoom out... A couple of bicycles can be seen parked alongside the road.

Bug Zapper...
Cranky Kong has two lanterns outside his cabin of the Jungle Japes stage. The lantern on the right side of his cabin has a couple of butterflies flying around it.

Krazy Klapper...
A previous 'Stuff update showed that red Klaptraps could be seen in the Kongo Jungle... The blue variety of the species can be found here in the swamps of Jungle Japes. They occasionally swim by under the platform, so they can be tougher to spot.

Golden Glory...
Someone submitted this neat detail about metal Link... Whenever you perform his B+up attack and spin into the air when Link has used the Metal Box, he will have a golden appearance for a brief moment. I tried this with Ganondorf as well, and found that Ganon looks a bit bronze.

Petty Pegs...
A detail that's practically microscopic on the big item crate, is a set of small wooden pegs that hold the boards of the box together. I just happened to notice this when messing around with camera angles.
